Having heard a lot about this place we decided to go there with a friend on a weekday for dinner. Its entrance is tucked away under lighted overgrown creepers s unless you slow down your vehicle, you might miss it. It’s located in an old British era house, with huge windows and high ceilings and complete with a garden where one can opt to sit too.
There’s a neat and romantic verandah complete with lighted candles, wooden furniture, and minimalist lighting, and the place provides a thorough romantic setting. The main dining area (indoors) is painted a lovely warm cinnamon color and the decor is minimal without being boring. We preferred to outside in the garden and the setting was perfectly romantic with lamps hanging from wooden panels.
The menu is large and has a good mix of veg and non-veg. We started with a Cheese Fondue and ordered a Egyptian Salad, cheese and mushroom panini, a bagel with roasted pepper cheese and Mushroom Risotto. All items were good. What was appalling was the service. We had taken or seat for 10 minutes and there was no waiter to attend to us nor was water served. We had finished our Cheese fondue and still when the water didn’t arrive after 2 reminders, I called the waiter and gave him a good piece of my mind about it.
I had heard that not having dessert in Moshe’s would amount to sinning, so we ordered for a Baked Philadelphia Cheese Cake which tasted out of the world.
The food is indeed great but one advice is to focus on the food and nothing else.
The bill came to around Rs 2000 but it was a great experience.
