The décor is pretty simple. There are stainless steel seats and tables, easy to clean and maintain and at the same time comfortable. The menu card had an assortment of unconventional dishes. There were Gujarati, Maharashtrian, South-Indian, and Parsi dishes too.
We ordered for a Pudina Panki (delicate mint flavored rice crepes cooked between banana leaves on a hot pan), thalipeeth (a Maharashtrian bread recipe made with different kinds of flour) and Gattu Nu Shak ( Curry with besan dumplings) The thalipeeth was sizzling hot and melted in the mouth and the besan curry too was yummy with a lot of ghee. The Panki was delicious and paper thin and even before we started it had disappeared. Their Pav bhaji is touted to be one of the best, so we dug into that too and quite liked it.
For desserts we ordered for Moon dal halwa which was totally out of the world (and also floating in ghee) and vanilla ice cream with musk melon pieces
The dishes I would say are moderately expensive but worth the quality and taste. All dishes take around 10-15 minutes to arrive and are served piping hot. This is a great place for vegetarian food and they also serve Jain varieties of most dishes (without onions & garlic). The service is also prompt and good.
Of late they have also started Executive Tiffin services (Rs 160 per meal) which is a lot expensive. But I would definitely recommend ‘Swati’ for a Sunday brunch. They also accept credit cards.
