Salad forms a very important part of our meal. Green Salad is extremely healthy and nutritious. The greens and veggies have a lot of iron and vitamins. However, eating the same kind of salad can become boring and monotonous.
My family is very health conscious. Thanks to them, I have learnt a variety of salads to ensure that they get to eat unique and tasty salads everyday. It is advisable to avoid the salad dressings sold in the market because they are synthetic and unhealthy. Hence, I have listed one such variety of salad that is healthy, tasty and yet easy to make. The seasoning and dressing for the same can be prepared at home.
Ingredients:
- 50 gms Tofu
- 4 to 5 Lettuce leaves
- 2 Tomatoes
- 1 medium size Cucumber
- 1 medium size Carrot
- 1 medium size Onion (can take green leaves of onion)
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- ¼ tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp chaat masala powder
- Chopped coriander leaves
Method:
Wash all the vegetables and cut them into small pieces. Make small pieces of tofu as well. Mix all of these in a bowl. Add salt, black pepper powder, lemon juice, and chaat masala powder. Stir or toss it to mix all the masala. Mix it well. Remove in a serving bowl or a plate and sprinkle chopped coriander leaves on it.
Garnish with mint leaves.
