If you ever find yourself entertaining walk-in-guests, staying over for lunch or dinner, and you need to crack-up something really quick, this is something which could help you quick-fix-serve. Just ensure to have a stock of those chicken (or pork) sausages! This dish fits in as a starter or even as an accompaniment with pao/bread or rotis or noodles and even rice. So serve it in your own comfortable way.
Ingredients:
- 8-10 chicken sausages( you could also use pork sausages)
- 1 large onion – sliced
- 1 large tomato – chopped fine
- 2 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
- ¼ tsp Red chilli powder
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- ½ tsp Red chilli sauce
- ½ tsp Soya sauce
- 1 tsp Chicken stock powder
- A little crushed pepper powder and salt to taste
- ½ tsp Oregano
- Oil
Method:
- In a pan heat little oil and shallow fry the sausages till they turn brownish. Cool and slice it round. Keep aside.
- In a thick bottom pan heat oil and sauté the onions when they turn pinkish add the ginger-garlic paste and fry well.
- Tip in the tomatoes and while frying add the red chilli powder, turmeric powder, soya sauce, red chilli sauce and stock powder. Fry well till the masala is well done and check to see if salt is required as stock powder contains a good amount of salt.
- Now add the fried sausages and toss well in masala.
- Since the sausage is already fried, there is no need to keep it over the flame for long. So just before taking it down sprinkle some freshly crushed pepper powder and oregano over the spicy chicken sausage.
- Your spicy chicken sausage is ready to serve.
Preparation Time: 15-20 minutes
Serves: 4-6
Time Tip:
- To save time get the masala ready while the sausage is frying. So that way by the time the sausage is fried your masala will be ready to tip in the sausages!
