A typical Hanukkah special, Latke is basically potato pancakes where in grated potatoes are mixed with egg and flour and are shallow fried in olive oil. Crispy outside and soft inside, we wanted to give our Latke some twist. So, with the traditional Jewish Recipe mingled our cute garlic and Italian seasoning! Hah! Talk about being a world citizen with a continental food palate.
Anyway, fun part is, although we are talking quite freely about this wonderful lunch or brunch or dinner favorite, you might get to eat a latke donut but you will never get to eat a latke in Israel or maybe you will if you find it religiously. Now you know, what to carry when you go to Israel.
