Bread Upma

The chef spirit in most Indians calls one to experiment with different cuisines and ingredients and add a distinctive Indian twist to it. So is it with the humble bread. Upma which is usually a breakfast dish made with semolina or vermicelli has found its destiny in bread too!!  I’ve always had it made by my Mom or Grandma. Yesterday when I found that there were around 6 slices of bread left with no butter, cheese or jam to go with it, Upma is the solution I thought. It’s pretty simple and very tasty too. You can add onions too for the extra flavor. The tomato ketchup is for the tangy taste. Here’s the recipe.
